Booking Escorted Access to your space

Guests who have not completed an induction may be escorted to your space for temporary access.

Guests that are not inducted must be always accompanied by a permanent IDAC holder or NEXTDC escort in secure operational areas such as data halls. Escorts must hold a current induction for the area and can escort a maximum of 6 visitors.

1. In the Main Menu select Requests » New Request.
2. Select Organise Facility Access
3. Select I have a Guest that requires escorted data centre access and click Next to continue.
4. Enter the facility access information.
   You can optionally add parking, meeting rooms or staging rooms to your request. These must occur within the same time window as the access request.
5. Click Next.
6. Enter the visitor information and add the escort to the visitor list.  Mark the checkbox to confirm an escort is in the list or you will select a NEXTDC escort on the next page and click Next.
7. Select the IDAC escort from the pick list or request a NEXTDC escort via the checkbox. If selected, a NEXTDC escort will be provided via the Remote Hands request process.
   If you select an escort who has not completed the required induction, ONEDC shows an error and will require you to select another suitable escort.
8. ONEDC shows a summary of the request.
9. Review the information and accept the Conditions.
10. Click Submit to submit the access request or click Cancel to quit without saving.
11. ONEDC submits the request and shows a confirmation message.
12. Click Okay to acknowledge the message.
13. NEXTDC staff will action the request and provide updates via the ticket number. You can review the request via My Requests.
