Inviting a new user to ONEDC
Any customer (or customer representatives including contractors) who need to use ONEDC or access NEXTDC facilities and/or racks must have a ONEDC user account.
User accounts can be:
- new accounts; or
- enabling another existing tenant for access to a seperate account.
Customer Administrators create ONEDC user accounts by sending an email invitation. Users must accept the ONEDC accuser account invitation to setup their account.
Users who have accepted an invitation can:
- Be inducted
- Be issued an IDAC
- Have rack access assigned to their IDAC.
- Access ONEDC (where the Customer Administrator has enabled this functionality)
To invite a new user/add a new contact:
- In the Main Menu select User Management » Users and click New Invite.
- Enter the required information and select the relevant groups for this user.
Groups control the information users can see, the menus users can access, and user access to racks.
If no additional groups are selected, the user will only be part of the All Users group which is the default group applicable to all users. - By default, the user will not have access to the ONEDC portal unless you tick the “Do you want this user to be able to log in to ONEDC?” box.
- Users that have not been granted access to ONEDC will not be able to login to the ONEDC portal, however can still be inducted, issued an IDAC, and have racks assigned to their IDAC.
- Any invited user in the All Users group will be able to log in to ONEDC to view basic information about their profile and which racks their IDAC has access to once they have accepted the invitation.
- Click Save to invite the user or click Cancel to quit without inviting the user.
ONEDC will email the invitation to the user. The invitation is time bound, so if there is no response in the nominated period, a new invitation must be resent. As many users are cautious of spam, we recommend you proactively let the user know to expect the invitation email.. - The invited user should follow the instructions in the invitation email. For example, if using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), the user will need to setup an authenticator app.
- Once the account is setup, the user can log in.
