What are General service requests?

NEXTDC offers the following general service requests to manage your data centre infrastructure. These services typically have a bespoke nature to them and as such require a NEXTDC team member to support your request.

Requests for more information can be made through the ONEDC portal via the instructions below the table.

Mission Critical Space (MCX)

MCX space is a dedicated space for your teams and is powered by the same 100% uptime infrastructure used in the data centres.

MCX can be highly customised to your specific requirements. NEXTDC will fit out a dedicated room, hall or area for your specific use.

AXON services

NEXTDC’s AXON virtual interconnectivity platform provides advanced Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) functionality orchestrating simpler, more secure and dynamic multi-cloud, hybrid environments.

AXON enables unprecedented capability to engineer safe, resilient, flexible and self-provisioned unification of data, clouds, locations, service providers and people.

AXON reduces the complexity and costs of interconnection architecture, and supports direct, point-to-point connectivity services that can be:

§   Turned on and off as needed,

§   Configured to the appropriate bandwidth required, and

§   Billed purely on usage.

Rooftop space

Roof space is available for customers who use antennas for non-terrestrial based communications, GPS or satellite-based timing solutions.

eWaste disposal

NEXTDC’s eWaste disposal services help you sustainably dispose of old equipment.

NEXTDC offers:

§   Fee-free eWaste disposal - for all non-data storing devices (e.g. servers with hard drives removed, keyboards, switches, etc.)

§   Fee-charged e-Waste disposal - for data storing devices (e.g. hard drives, SSD, tapes, etc.).

Extended reach connectivity

Request connectivity to sites beyond the Data Centres.

Carrier frame space

Request space in NEXTDC Interconnect Rooms (IR) Carrier Frames.

Internet

On-demand, secure and highly reliable rack Internet access.

Carbon Neutral – NEXTneutral

Completely offset any emissions created by your equipment.

Static Transfer Switches (STS)

Connect single corded equipment to both A and B feeds in a STS.

Storage Lockers

Additional storage outside the Data Hall (e.g. for documents, tools, etc.).

Rack Accessories

Order extra items to help optimise your rack installation.

To request a service:

  1. In the Main Menu select Services » New Services.
  2. In the Requests section select the service (e.g. Rack Services). All service requests use the same request form. ONEDC automatically sets the Enquiry Type based on the selected request.
  3. Enter the information.
  4. Click Next to continue.
  5. ONEDC prompts you to add additional supporting information.
    Click Add to use the File Manager to add files.
  6. Click Next to continue.
  7. Accept the Privacy Policy and Conditions to continue.
  8. Click Submit to submit the request or click Cancel to quit without saving.
  9. ONEDC submits the request and shows a confirmation message.
  10. Click Okay to acknowledge the message.
  11. NEXTDC staff will action the request and provide updates via the ticket number. You can review the request via My Requests.
