Setup and reset Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of security to your account. When enabled, MFA will require you to enter two identification “factors” for your account:
- Primary factor – username and password
- Additional factor – external one-time authentication code to increase account security generated by an authenticator app.
Your administrator must enable MFA within your ONEDC tenancy before you can setup your own MFA instance.
To enable Multi-Factor Authentication in ONEDC (Company Administrator Only):
- Login to ONEDC
- Click the Gear icon in the top right of the screen to access Tenancy Settings
- Click Configure MFA
- Click Enable Multi-Factor Authentication
- After reviewing the Terms and Conditions, click the checkbox.
- Click Save
- Click Okay to acknowledge the confirmation window.
Once MFA has been enabled on your portal, each user can then setup or reset their MFA:
- Download your chosen authentication app from the App Store (for iPhones) or Google Play (for Android devices). You can setup and reset MFA using any authenticator app (e.g.Microsoft Authenticator, Salesforce Authenticator, Google Authenticator, etc.)
- When you login, ONEDC will show a QR code.
- Open the authenticator app and scan the QR Code
- Follow the instructions in your chosen app to setup or reset MFA.
- Press Continue in ONEDC
- Press Continue to confirm you are ready to proceed or Cancel to return to the previous screen
- Enter the code shown in your authenticator app and press Authenticate to log in to ONEDC.
