Booking Parking, Meeting and Staging Rooms

Many NEXTDC facilities have work spaces and parking that customers can use for no charge. These working spaces are also known as resources within ONEDC.

Key criteria exist for booking these resources and ONEDC automatically approves all requests that comply with the criteria. Other requests are set to Pending Approval and are manually reviewed by NEXTDC prior to approval. Where a request is Pending Approval, it is still “held” to whilst the review occurs.

Staging rooms

To test and configure equipment prior to installing in the data hall. If issues are identified, equipment can be returned to the manufacturer without the need to un-rack the equipment.

Equipment deliveries can be received at the loading dock and configured in the staging room before being moved to the final destination.

  • Advance bookings are highly recommended.
  • Booking can be made without approval for up to 24 hours per week
  • Bookings exceeding this time are reviewed by NEXTDC prior to approval.
  • Customers will receive email confirmation once the booking is confirmed.
  • Many NEXTDC sites also offer paid dedicated parking if required.

Meeting rooms

All facilities have meeting rooms that customers can book for use.

  • Advance bookings are highly recommended as resources are limited and in demand.
  • Meeting rooms can be booked for up to a maximum of 4 hours.
  • During use: Take reasonable precautions to protect the floor, wall and ceiling surfaces.
  • After use: Remove all materials and leave the room neat and tidy.
  • CAUTION! You must always safely dispose of electronic hazardous waste. The Facility Operations team can provide specific guidance for the facility.
  • If any damage is caused through negligent or reckless behaviour or any rubbish / packaging is left in the meeting rooms, you may incur a charge.

Parking

Customers can book parking to reserve a secure car spot for their next facility visit, and provide contact information for the driver

  • Advance bookings are highly recommended.
  • Booking can be made without approval for up to 24 hours per week per driver (Monday to Sunday).
  • Bookings exceeding this time are reviewed by NEXTDC prior to approval.
  • You will receive email confirmation once the booking is confirmed.
  • Many NEXTDC sites also offer paid dedicated parking if required. Please contact the team to find out more.

NOTE: There is a limit of one vehicle/driver per parking reservation. If you require multiple car bookings, please submit multiple requests.

After booking, you can request changes (e.g. update or cancel booking) by adding a Case Comment to the request.
