Digitally sign documents using Docusign

NEXTDC uses Docusign to digitally sign documents including quotes, agreements, contracts, permits, etc. DocuSign combines multiple documents in a single “envelope” (also called a “package”). For example, an envelope can contain a contract, Scope of Works (SOW), Certificate of Currency (CoC), etc. As you progress through ONEDC you may receive Docusign packages to digitally sign.

IMPORTANT! The document may require multiple parties to sign. You will receive an executed copy of the document when all parties have completed signing. If you receive a document and do not have authority to sign, contact your Customer Administrator to request NEXTDC to update the information and re-issue the document for signing.

NEXTDC will review all signed documents and attachments to ensure information is correct.

To sign a Docusign document (e.g. sign a permit to work):

  1. NEXTDC will send an email to the Primary Contact for the activity:

  2. Click Review Document to view the document.
  3. Review and agree to the Electronic Record and Signature Disclosure and click Continue
  4. Click Start to start the signing process.
  5. Review and update the information that has been pre-populated from ONEDC.
    • Most items are shaded and cannot be edited.
    • Boxes that have white space and a border will show Optional when you hover your cursor over the box. You can update these boxes with additional text.
  6. You can also upload additional documents if those uploaded to ONEDC are not sufficient. You don’t need to re-upload the documents previously submitted to ONEDC.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the document and click the Sign icon to sign using your signature or initials. Docusign will prompt you to setup a signature and initials if one is not already defined.
  8. Review and accept the information privacy terms by checking the checkbox.
  9. Click Finish to complete the signing process.
  10. Docusign shows a confirmation message.
  11. If you do not already have a Docusign account, you will be asked if you wish to sign up. This is not mandatory but is recommended as will allow you to see each executed document within the Docusign site.
  12. The signing process is now complete. You will receive a link to the executed copy of the document when all parties have completed signing.
